When people dwell in righteousness and there is no poor among them, you find Zion. Individual Study: What do we need to build Zion? (See Moses 7: 18-19, 53) Be of one heart and one mind? What does it mean to be of one heart and one mind? Alleviate poverty. Teach righteousness. Build a righteous city. Love your neighbor as yourself; even think more of others than of self (See Philippians 2:1-5) Don’t do things to promote yourself above others. Be humble and meek, and esteem others better (or before) yourself. Have a mind and heart like Jesus. (Read 4 Nephi 1: 15-18) No contention in all the land.   Come Follow Me Lesson 4: Genesis 5; Moses 6 Introduction: Enoch walked with God. And God translated him and his entire city (see Gen 5:24). There was evil in these beginning days, just as there is in these last days. The gospel was taught in the beginning, even as it is being taught to us now (see Moses 6:7, 50-52). Readings Moses 6: 1-25 : Adam rejoiced in the birth and life of Seth. Seth hearkened to his father and to the commandments of God. Many kept written records by the power of inspiration during these times (see Moses 6:5). Won’t it be interesting to have the records that were written by these first prophets? The children during these days were taught to read and write by the records that were kept (vs 6). Moses prophesied that we would again have the priesthood of God in the last days (vs 7).   Come Follow Me Lesson 3: Genesis 3-4; Moses 4-5 Introduction: The Adam and Eve story is a message of hope. They chose to become part of a fallen world and to accept a Savior, so that they could learn and progress and become like God. The beautiful Garden of Eden was a sheltered place for children who needed a Father’s guidance and protection. Yes, we in the world still need those things, but we also required opposition, agency, and accountability in order to progress. “Leaving the Garden of Eden was the necessary first step toward returning to God and eventually becoming like Him. That meant facing opposition, making mistakes, learning to repent, and trusting the Savior, whose Atonement makes possible progression and ‘the joy of our redemption’” ( Moses 5:11 ). As we move forward in life, we should remember the good of the past and have faith in the better of the future. Because the Fall was part of the plan, so is Redemption, Resurrection, and Eternal Life. Personal...

Come Follow Me Lesson 1: Moses 1; Abraham 3 Come Follow Me 1 Teacher's Manuel Who am I? Why am I here? Who does God want me to become? How can the answers to these questions influence our daily actions? Film narrated by Elder Holland: Satan will always be defeated by the God of Glory. God has set bounds and limits to the opposing powers of darkness. Fear ye not, the Lord shall fight for you. Like Moses, I do not have to be deceived by Satan’s counterfeits. I have experienced the power and the gift of the Holy Ghost in my life, and the Spirit of the Lord testifies to me the things that are true.
