Vs 1-2 This is often the cry of the faithful saints who are persecuted because of their faithfulness. But the Lord will never forget us. He will come to us.

Vs 7 The Lord has always promised to gather Israel. It is happening in our day.

Vs 2 What does this mean? "let thine eyes behold the things that are equal."

Vs 15 We will be resurrected in the likeness of the Lord.

David praises the Lord for His greatness and preserving care—The Lord’s way is perfect—The Lord has given marvelous blessings—David testifies, The Lord lives, and blessed be my Rock.

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, the servant of the Lord, who spake unto the Lord the words of this song in the day that the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: And he said,

Vs 1-3 It is important for us to remember to call upon the Lord in God times and in bad.

Vs 30-32 God is perfect in strength, power, and might. When He is with us, we will prevail.

Vs 46-50 If we are faithful and true to the Lord, He will always deliver us.

David blesses the Lord at all times—He counsels, Keep your tongue from evil; do good and seek peace—He says that not one of the Messiah’s bones will be broken.

A Psalm of David, when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed.

Vs 8-9 Always choose the Lord and His righteousness. It will be food and drink, power and strength to you.

Vs 11-15 Come, ye children of the Lord.

Vs 20 When he was crucified, none of his bones were broken.

David complains of his enemies and their wrong dealings—He asks the Lord to judge him according to his righteousness.

Vs 9-14 Love your enemies. Do good to them that hate you. The Lord will please your cause and take care of you. Accept the portion the Lord is now willing to give you. If you do so with thankful heart, in the end you will receive just recompense. You will be given eternal life.

Vs 5-10 The Lord is righteous and worthy of all our praise.

Vs 3-11 Trust in the Lord and be not moved from him by the wickedness of others. Do you allow angry and revenge to enter in your heart. Focus on the Lord, your covenant, and His promises to you.

Vs 16 Be content with what the Lord gives you. All good gifts come from God.

Vs 18 No matter what happens in this life, if we are righteous we will be given the gift of eternal life.

Vs 23-31, 34, 37, 39-40 Learn to walk with the Lord, and He will always walk with you.

David sorrows for his sins—They rest as a disease upon him—He asks the Lord to be compassionate.

A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance.

Vs 10 Sin lessens the Light of Christ that is within us. It can darken our hopes. But we can repent and regain favor with God.

Vs 15 Our progression starts with the doctrine of Christ. The first step is to have faith in Him.

Vs 17-18 Our second step is to recognize and acknowlege our sins, to pray for help and forsake them. Repentance is a wonderful gift.

Vs 21-22 When we repent, and re-establish our covenant with the Lord, we will again be blessed to have His Light and the Spirit with us. He will forgive and bless us. Repentance is the second step.

The third step is baptism, or renewing our covenants through the sacrament.

The fourth step is receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost either after baptism, or again when we repent and are sanctified through His love and grace.



The fifth step is continuing to stay on the covenant path and do what He asks us to do.

The final step is being received into His good please and His presence. We can gain eternal life through faith in Him.

Vs 1-4 Pure religion and undefiled is to take care of the poor and needy. The Lord will see to all of our needs if we are concerned with meeting the needs of others.

Vs 10-13 The Lord will always be our Best Friend and Helper, if we seek to follow Him and do His will.

Vs 5, 8-9, 11 Sometimes in life we are cast down. Sometimes we don't even know why. We need to turn to the Lord and feel of His strength and receive of His loving kindness for us.

The righteous praise God and cry, Send out Thy light and Thy truth.

Vs 2, 5 Like Nephi, the other Psalmnists exerperienced being cast down, and prayed for God to lift them up.

The Saints praise the Lord and boast in His name forever—They are persecuted, maligned, and considered as sheep for the slaughter.

Vs 26 Though Israel has been scattered many times, it is the Lord's good pleasure to gather them. The gathering of Israel is taking place all around us.

A messianic psalm—The Messiah is fairer than the children of men—He is anointed with the oil of gladness above His fellows—His name will be remembered in all generations.

 Vs 1 Great metaphor and imagery: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

Vs 6-7 God is our Father and He has given covenant Israel great favors among all people.

Vs 1 Rejoice greatly in the worship of the Lord.
